Amidst the Pallars Sobirà mountains, we find the village of Farrera with only a couple of dozens of inhabitants.

The farmer Pep Marçal, the former village cattle tender Conxita Català, and the young painter Pau Alemany, are the characters of this documentary. In a personal and poetic way, it tells the story of the traditional daily life as it is lived to the rhythm of the seasons. The triad is presented in an intimate narration that often uses silence and it thereby obviates dialogues so as to emfasize the looks and the memories. In doing so, it tracks and brings the age-old mountain crafts and traditions to life. The list of rural activities shown is lengthy: animal care, vegetable garden work, in addition to manual crafts such as spinning. All that forms part of the outcome while the protagonists talk to the camera about fears of ageing and the life in the mountains.

As to the montage, an alternate narration that skips from one character to another in a harmonious way has been chosen. It does so through the use of a series of spacial and temporal ellipsis.
