Book of artist's portraits.
"I took these photos during a rather long period of time, preferibly in studios or in workplaces - sometimes in a simple room in a flat – to the rhythm of visits and coming-togethers.
I wanted to present the artists – or those who define themselves in that way – in their own surroundings, and try to materialize it with their own creations: alone, minute and impotent, sublime and utterly derisory before the world; a little like the photographer himself with his camera.
The artists of this book are very little or not known at all, albeit some do achieve in making their artistic productions their living. My objective was not to make a collection of celebrity portraits, but on the contrary to draw a worried and worrying vision of a world apart through their faces superimposing my own doubts about artistic creation”.
